Positive Teens is now closed
Dear PT Readers:
As many of you already know, December’s Volume 9, Issue 4 was the final issue of Positive Teens magazine. It was titled: #50 Looking Back 1998 to 2007.
Looking back has been sweet! In planning the issue, I decided that we should take our readers on a brief walk down "memory land." There were nine years of so many memories — artwork and photographs, interviews, essays and poetry, friendships and much laughter, but no tears (okay, maybe some frustration.)
When I began Positive Teens, my dream was to survive five years in publication. Well thanks to all of the contributors, subscribers and others who have bought PT, my dream was surpassed.
I would like to also thank all the volunteer staff, for without their help, this publisher wouldn’t have been able to get as many issues out on time.
With minimum staff, the past couple of years were difficult, which affected the distribution timeline of the magazine. And due to the high cost of publishing a magazine — without advertising revenue — I had no choice but to close up shop.
Plans for the future may be a book about the Positive Teens experience.
This is also the final PT Web site update.
Well enough said…
Best regards,
Susan Manning
