Publication Statement
The opinions expressed in the magazine or published on this Web site are those of the individual writers and artists. Some material may be edited.
- On-line writers and artists who are under age 18, will only have a byline published that show their town or city, state, school or affiliation, first name, and last initial.
- For those persons submitting work for PT print magazine or Web site that do not wish to have any part of their name published, must specify that information on their returned signed permission form.
- SATCH Publishing will not intentionally publish any material that could be considered profanity, racist, homophobic, demeaning, or insulting.
SATCH Publishing and Positive Teens, ACCENTUATING THE POSITIVE IN TODAY'S TEENS® magazine acknowledges that the poems, essays, non-fiction and fiction stories, artworks, photographs, advertisements, and logos that appear on this Web site are the copyrighted property of the individual authors, artists, and/or businesses who have given permission for their use. The Web site and all other materials, which appear on the site, are the copyrighted property of SATCH Publishing.
Materials Release
The signature of an author, artist and/or co-signature of a parent or guardian on a Materials Release form, will give SATCH Publishing the right to reproduce, publish and distribute their work (collectively, the "Material") under the terms and conditions listed below. All authors and/or artists must have returned a signed Materials Release form before their submission will be published in Positive Teens on-line or in print. A Release form will be sent only upon acceptance of Material for publication.
A signed Materials Release form includes but is not limited to:
- Authorizes SATCH Publishing (SATCH) the right to reproduce, publish and distribute the Material, including all text and any accompanying drawings, photographs, or other images identified by name in all forms, including magazines, electronic databases, and online transmission exclusively for 18 months from the date indicated on signed form.
- Assures SATCH that the Material is original and was created by author or artists (and any co-author or artists identified on the Material, who will be required to sign his/her own Materials Release form), unless on the Material it has been identified in writing those parts that are quoted or reproduced from other sources.
- Assures SATCH that none of the Material has been published before and/or that exclusive permission has not been given any other person or organization to publish the Material, and that no other permission will be granted during the 18 month exclusive contract of the SATCH Publishing Materials Release.
- SATCH reserves the right to edit, revise and condense the Material, as it deems necessary for space, grammatical accuracy and style preference. SATCH shall also have the right to change the title of the Material in its sole discretion. SATCH Publishing will give credit to the author(s) of the Material whenever it is published or reproduced.
- Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian co-sign this form before their work or image is published.
- Those authors or artists submitting material considered for publication may be paid a stipend or may receive an equivalent complimentary gift for their effort.
- SATCH retains the right to reproduce the Material published without further compensation for use of the Material(s). Authors retain his/her copyrights to only his/her Material reproduced and published by SATCH. An author can always exercise his/her copyright to have Material published elsewhere after the expiration of terms of this agreement. An author's signature, guardian's or a parent's (required if author is not 18 years of age) affixed to this release form confirms acceptance of all terms.
Standard Release
Person(s) interviewed or photographed by SATCH Publishing (SATCH), its employees, agents, successors, assigns, and designees (on tape or otherwise) must sign a Standard Release Form before any publication of photograph(s) or interview(s) is published in Positive Teens, or in any other related materials, including but not limited to literary, promotion and advertising materials. SATCH shall retain final editorial, artistic, and technical control of the Publication and the Publication content. SATCH may use and authorize others to use the Publication and any portions thereof in all markets, manner and media, including electronic databases and on-line transmission, whether now known or hereafter developed, throughout the world. SATCH, its successors and assigns, shall own all rights, title and interest, including the copyright, in and to the Publication, including the Interview, Photographs and related materials, to be used and disposed of without limitations as SATCH shall in its sole discretion determine.
Photograph & Image Release
A signed Photograph & Image Release form includes but is not limited to:
- Authorizes SATCH Publishing (SATCH), the right to reproduce and publish the materials, including all text and any accompanying drawings, photographs, or other images identified by name (collectively, the "Material"), in all forms, including magazines, electronic databases, and online transmission exclusively for 18 months from the date indicated on signed form.
- SATCH and persons and entities designated by SATCH are given permission to use contributing artist's name, image, likeness, and biographical material, as well as the Material and any other photographs, drawings or images which may be delivered to SATCH at a later date, in such a manner as SATCH may determine for any and all purposes, including advertising and promotion. If the Material or other materials, which are submitted to SATCH, include photographs of other persons, it is understood that they cannot be used by SATCH unless the contributing artist obtains those persons' prior written consent.
- SATCH is assured that the Material is original and was created by the artist (and any co-artist or co-author identified on the Material, who will be required to sign his/her own Photograph & Image Release). Identification will be made in writing to SATCH anything contained in the Material that has been taken from other sources.
- SATCH is assured that none of the Material has been published before, that exclusive rights has not been granted to any other person or organization to publish the Material.
- SATCH reserves the right to edit, revise and condense the Material, as it deems necessary for space, grammatical accuracy and style preferences. SATCH shall also have the right to change the title of the Material in its sole discretion. SATCH will give credit to the artist(s) or author(s) of the Material whenever it is published or reproduced.

The Subject retains his/her copyright to only his/her image/likeness reproduced and published by SATCH. The Subject's signature, guardian's or a parent's (required if author is not 18 years of age) affixed to the release agreement confirms acceptance of all terms.
Privacy Statement
SATCH Publishing, the owner and publisher of Positive Teens print and on-line magazine respects the privacy of its readers and contributors. We will never intentionally distribute, make public, or publish any personal information, (such as full name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, birth date, personal identification number(s), or credit card numbers) of any minor that could possibly bring them mental or physical harm.
If the person submitting the work is under 18, he or she must have a parent or guardian co-sign the appropriate agreement before their work will be published. On-line writers and artists who are under age 18, will only have a byline published that shows first name and last initial, their town or city, state, school or affiliation. For those persons submitting their works that do not wish to have any part of their name published on-line, please indicate on your submission. The following exceptions do not require signature approval: articles published in the Mailbox, Message Board, contests, or opinion forum.
Information collected and used from our Web site
We do not collect personal data when you browse, read pages or download information from our Web site. However, we do gather and store certain information about visits to the site. This information is used to evaluate and track how well the site is being used by the general public. The following information is used for site activity analysis.
- The Internet Protocol Address and domain name used - identifies referring domains, search engines, and URLs that have logged-on to our site.
- The type of browser and operating system used
- The number of pages accessed
- The pages accessed
- The length of time you visit the site
- The length of time spent viewing individual pages
- The location by state, country and continent of visitors

Providing personal information is always optional.
