International Education
Have you ever thought what it might be like to attend school in another country? Did you know that there are international educational programs for high school and college students that you might be able to qualify and be accepted into? Instead of reading about the culture and customs of people from other countries, you might be able to interact with others through participation in an intercultural educational program.
Where should you look to find exchange and international programs? How do you find the financial aid you need? Check out PT’s starter list of Web sites…

International education programs offer a variety of opportunities to high school and college students. United World Colleges, for example, is one of the largest international school programs — offering two-year and three-year curriculums. The "sister colleges" are a group of ten related schools scatter throughout the world. Participants live away from home in college settings in such countries as the United Kingdom, South East Asia, Norway, or South Africa. Each program mentioned has its own specific mission and benefits, but the overall purpose of each is to bring together youth of diverse cultures and races to help them gain knowledge and understanding about the world they will one day be running.
