The Heart of an Angel

When tears begin to fall, and hearts are broken in two.
When shame has beat you down, and life has made you blue.

When there's nothing left to live for, and no one to look up to.
When happiness seems far away, and there is nothing there for you.

When time seems to be still, and the minutes are lost forever.
When everything you had is lost, and you feel it's now or never.

When once upon a time you were happy, and nothing could go wrong.
When your world came tumbling do'nn, and sadness came on strong.

When you knew what love had been, and the thought had made you smile.
When hatred seemed so far away, and the feeling was gone for a while.

When forever seemed so real, and things were always right.
When dreams could come true, and there was never reason to fight.

When that "Once Upon A Time" was lost, and your happiness was gone.
When you learned again what hatred was, and it lasted for so long.

When everyone looked down on you, and there was no one left to love.
When life had made you prisoner, and your soul seemed worthless to those above.

When all you wanted was to die, and your wish would not come true.
When death seemed but a leap away, and it meant so much to you.

When you thought that God had cursed you, and your life had been hell.
There comes the heart of an angel, to make everything well.
