In Memory ...of those we have lost

The Pain of Death

It is hard to lose someone you really love
Not even saying goodbye or giving them a last kiss and hug
If it’s a person that you acted like you really didn’t like
When ever ya’ll had seen each other, ya’ll fussed and fight.
You love this person but the only way to show them was to be mean
But when they came around, on the inside you got glad.
I hadn’t known how much I cared about them, until they was gone
Good and bad memories are all I have now, how can I go on?
I thought we was going to see each other ‘til we were old and gray
I would give up my own life to see them face to face
Ever since then I learned a good lesson
The people who I don’t have, I look to them as a blessing
The loss of a friend
The love of my life
I will make sure it won’t ever happen twice
But now I want to say goodbye
